MONDO: Could you tell us a little about yourself and your work?
Danielle Corsetto: I live in a tiny town in West Virginia with my goldfish Goldie, where I've been working as a full-time cartoonist for two years. I'm the creator, artist, and writer of the webcomic Girls With Slintshots, a comedy strip about two girls tackling post-college life, sex toys and talking plants. Until the recent demise of our most beloved and reliable news source, I was also the writer/artist for the Weekly World News' Bat Boy comic strip. I love sushi and fruity pink drinks. And yes, I'm a girl.
MONDO: What's your game plan for TCAF? Are you debuting a new comic, selling merchandise, participating in a seminar?
DC: If I decide to do something new for TCAF, it'll most likely be decided the night before I leave. Don't ALL artists procrastinate? :) I'll be selling sketches as usual, as well as original art and button packs. Look for the festive turquoise tablecloth and maybe, if you're lucky, the giant stuffed mustachoied cactus!
MONDO: What are you most looking forward to at TCAF this year?
DC: Maybe taking a stroll around the floor to see the other artists' work, for once! And just being in Toronto - I LOVE Toronto.
MONDO: Who are you most looking forward to meeting?
DC: Gosh, everybody! Mostly just old friends, but it'd be great to bump into Meredith Gran.
MONDO: What do you think of Toronto?
DC: Heck, I'll be redundant; I LOVE Toronto!!
