I still love you, MONDO. But I’m not gonna lie – we’re going through rough times here at MONDOMusic. Too few hours in the day, and too many of those few spent waiting for the streetcar, or being slowly crushed to death within its crowded confines. Too much time slogging through the snow or hunting for pairs of dry socks. It’s hard to be candid when you have so little time to be serious. I will say, though, that it’s been worth it for the past few days. Atlas Sound at the Horseshoe was stellar, and the Andre Theriault (formerly Ghost Hands) CD release at the Music Gallery was very zen. An all-acoustic gig, a quiet and respectful audience, smiling soulful guitarists in a beautiful hall with unbelievably good acoustics – the perfect respite from the chill outside that continues to drag on. Expect the reviews soon.

(This technically isn’t a preamble, because it’s not pre- anything this week. Oh well. It’s still a great word.)

Damned winter blahs. Screw Richard III, if you ask me, right now is the REAL winter of our discontent!
But I fully agree with preamble being an awesome word.
