Ahh, Valentine’s Day! That wonderful time of the year when we all take a day off to relax, to reflect, and to drink bottle after bottle of sambuca in our respective sofa-cushion fortresses (couch-cushion forts, for all our readers south of the 49th parallel) until the hurting stops. Yes, truly a magical day for the perpetually single. But enough of that from me. Chances are, if you’re even peripherally connected to the internet (get it? It’s a pun! Peripherally…), you’ve heard enough Valentine’s moping from various sources to power a small town — provided said municipality has invested in a mope-converter.
But I’m not here to mope; I’m here to preambulate! Fortunately, unlike yours truly, the Lifestyle section has an ever reliable Valentine in Jenny Bundock, who contributes not one, but two articles this week. How many of you readers can even hope to claim lovers so faithful? So go, have your petty relationships. The Lifestyle section has something better: contributors. In this vein, we have both Valentine’s and non-Valentine’s articles to offer, so who could ask for more? Nobody, that’s who.
